Crewe Bowling & Pizza Party – Report

Our event at the Crewe MFA Bowl Phoenix Leisure Park in Crewe last week was a tremendous success. We had eighteen parents and children turn up for this our first fully funded group holiday trip. We bowled two games each across six lanes and Ian & John carried the highest scores of the day. As can be seen in the pictures below, all enjoyed the games and everyone said they wanted to go again. What no one realised when they turn up was the bowling was not the only treat for the day. The whole group was taken across the road to Pizza Hut and treated to Pizza, salad and unlimited fizzy drinks.

This was a fully funded event that enabled all those attending to get to know each other better and bond as a group. It is our intent to run more of these events as it brings so many benefits to our members. To see the group learning to engage and deal with others with special needs was a pleasure. Friendships made amongst the group are incredibly important to those that can struggle so much in the company of others. This event was a perfect example of what Middlewich Additional Needs Network was set up for. We look forward to many more in the future!
