Great Middlewich Bake Sale! – Report

Last Saturdays ‘Bake Sale’ was a tremendous success with quite a number of cake donations given by our members. All the cakes were collected together at either our coffee morning or by being delivered to Jackie’s house on Friday. In total there were 4 crates of cakes collected and taken to our fundraising event the next day.

Jackie, Robyn and Janet (with the help of mum Ann) ran the sale in the Tescos foyer from 10.00am on 12th May and there were enough cakes to keep the sale going to almost 2 o’clock in the afternoon. As you can see from the pictures the stall looked great with a brilliant selection of cakes on display. Special mentions must be given to Michelle for a lovely Vegan Chocolate cake, Robyn and Meghan for their yummy mini chocolate cupcakes with multi-flavoured butter icings and Jackie for a selection of large cakes including a fast selling Sultana & Cherry Cake and Carrot Cake. YUM!

An additional special mention must be given to Tesco for letting run the event at their store as it gave us the chance not only to sell cakes but to also raise our profile locally. The credits keep on going as the current Mayor Councillor Moss as well as the Mayor-Elect Councillor William Walmsley (more about him and some great news for the group coming soon) were on hand to both help and talk to customers about our group.

The sale turned a total profit of £165.00 for our group and a big ‘Thank You’ goes to all who donated cakes to the bake sale and to those that bought them.
