2nd Pony Power Trust Trip – Review

Our latest trip to Pony Power saw five of our members visit the trust in the Delamere Forest last Monday. Since our last visit, more ponies have been moved onto the new site giving visitors even more contact with these fabulous animals. The group was greeted by owner Carly and introduced to five new ponies. A great deal of fuss was made of the animals and there were big smiles from our group!

The ponies are trained to be friendly with humans and being fed lots of hay always goes a long way to achieve this. Everyone go the chance to be hands-on with grooming and were allowed to lead them (on their own) around the grass paddock. Possibly the best part of the afternoon though was the opportunity to also have a ride before going home whilst proud parents watched on drinking coffee.

It is our intent to keep these visits going as they bring out so much in our additional needs youngsters. To see the hyper actives chill right down and the really shy come out of their shell is just the tip of the iceberg when seeing the benefits this pony therapy brings.

If you would like to visit the trust, we can arrange trips for the special price of £5.00 per person (carers go free). All we need to do is collect five names to arrange a visit. Please contact Robyn for details or visit us at a coffee morning to put down your name.
