NCFE Training – Update

We are really proud to announce we now have our first dedicated official qualifications inside our group. Robyn and Jackie have both received their certificates for the course below. This is just a start and it will enable us to help all of our members going forth with qualified advice and guidance. It is our hope to obtain further such opportunities for our group members in the future so if you are interested please let us know, the broader our knowledge base the better!

We are really proud to tell everyone that two of our mums have been accepted for an NCFE course. If they pass their exams they will qualify for a level 2 certification in ‘Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties’. It will also mean the group will have its first official qualifications to help our members.

So who are the NCFE? The NCFE is a major national Awarding Organisation, they design, develop and certificate nationally recognised qualifications. The NCFE offers over 500 qualifications and has been regulating a large number of different industries for 150 years.

What’s the course all about? Well… Having a Specific Learning Difficulty means that people find it harder to learn certain skills. As this affects around 15% of people, it is important for those working in healthcare, social care, the charity sector (i.e. Middlewichann) and education to have knowledge of different learning difficulties. The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with knowledge of a range of Specific Learning Difficulties, such as ADHD, ASD, dyslexia and dyscalculia. The course is aimed at learners looking to improve their understanding and awareness of these key topics.

The course is fully funded and we hope to be able to obtain further such opportunities for our group members in the future. We will be watching how they get on (no pressure girls!) and let you know.
